Armoury Steakhouse Is Upgrading to the Heart of Orchard

Orchard Central has been home to Armoury Steakhouse since 2023, and it's where we became who we are. As the building's owners move forward with plans to redevelop levels 5 to 12 for office use — making way for Deloitte Singapore, which is set to occupy the redeveloped floors from 2027 — every tenant on those floors, us included, will be relocating by November 2026. Change like this is part of any building's life cycle, and we're grateful for the years Orchard Central gave us to grow.
Moving is never simple, especially for a restaurant. But it's also given us a chance to look ahead. In November 2026, Armoury Steakhouse is upgrading to Wheelock Place, #03-13A/14 — carrying forward everything we built during our time at Somerset, into a space designed for where we are now.
Almost four years at Somerset
The steakhouse-and-bar identity isn't new to us — it's where Armoury started. Our very first outlet, Armoury South Beach, opened as a gastro bar, and that same casual-bar spirit carried through when we opened at Orchard Central in 2023. We owe a lot to this neighborhood and the community that welcomed us here: the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu BIG CUT, the KILO, and the free-flow steak buffet all grew up alongside the $6 Beer O'Clock pint, the Kyoho Grape Martini, and a growing highball and whisky list — steak and bar, side by side, from day one at Somerset.
Over the past couple of years, that identity has only gotten sharper. Our regulars treat Armoury less like a special-occasion steakhouse and more like their go-to spot for a Tuesday catch-up, a post-work pint, or a "why not" date night — and we've kept building the menu and the bar program to match.
That's the version of Armoury that's moving to Wheelock Place — the same steakhouse-and-bar DNA we've had since South Beach, refined further for the heart of Orchard.
What's changing at Wheelock Place
We're calling it an upgrade, not a relocation, for a reason. The new space at Wheelock Place is a chance to build the steakhouse-and-bar identity we've had since South Beach properly from the ground up, in a space designed around it from the start. Expect the same signature line-up you already know — the BIG CUT ladder, the KILO, the martini program — right alongside the bar.
This move takes us from Orchard Central to the heart of Orchard — and with it comes a shift in how we run Happy Hour. Happy Hour takes over from Beer O'Clock, built around the rhythm of the office crowds and shoppers around Wheelock Place — running from lunch through 7pm at $7 per pint and drinks, then $10 per pint thereafter. It's a small change in name and pricing, but it's really about the same thing Beer O'Clock always was: an easy, no-fuss reason to walk in, now tuned for the heart of Orchard.
Everything else that made Armoury, Armoury stays exactly the same — the great steaks, the BIG CUT and KILO, the martini program — just in an upgraded space built for both casual catch-ups and business gatherings.
We'll be sharing more details on the new space, the opening timeline, and what's new on the menu as we get closer to the move. If you want to be part of that — whether it's a last visit to Orchard Central before we go, or first through the door at Wheelock Place — reserve a table or follow along for updates.
